Harmonized standards
The 3rd edition of EN 60601-1 activates in EU/EEA on June 1st 2012. All products covered under the Part 1 standard only (ie, EN 60601-1 only) must show compliance with EN 60601-1 3rd edition after this date. This applies to products produced before and after this date, but not to products already placed on the market.(Nemko AS website)
